Season 1, Episode 1: Head Cases

Senior partner Edwin Poole has a nervous breakdown in front of everybody. Denny Crane has now to face the loss of a friend in the office. Meanwhile, Alan Shore finds a new enemy in Brad Chase, who is not only the ex of Sally, but also makes him work on a case of a little girl, who wants to play "Annie" in a musical production. Lori is taking care of Ernie Dell, who wants his marriage to be annulled, because he thinks his wife cheats on him. Sally and Brad work on a case concerning a divorced couple and their kids.


Season 1, Episode 2: Still Crazy After All These Years

Alan tries to get his ex-girlfriend Christine, who once tried to kill him, out of a psychiatric installment, but he must find out that this wasn't the best idea he ever had. Especially Sally's behavior towards Christine doesn't make it easier for Alan and Sally to get closer. Denny meanwhile still has trouble with his partners,w ho want him out of the firm.

After he helped her to get out of a psychiatric clinic, Alan now has to face his ex-girlfriend Christine as an opponent in court. Lori is appointed to help Alan. Sally has her first real case of which she has got to take care all by herself and it isn't going very good for her. Denny Crane's son Donny, whom he hasn't seen for 15 years, shows up in the office, but not just as a visitor but also a lawyer.

Edwin Poole manages to escape from the psychiatry returning to the law firm. He takes over a case without anyone recognizing it until Lori appoints herself as his assistant in court. Sally realizes that it is much harder to be in a relationship with Alan. Alan himself still has to fight with Brad over his position in the law firm.

Alan and Tara defend a hypochondriac who is suing his doctor for malpractice. Brad and Denny work on one of Edwin Poole's old cases where their client, Holcomb Pharmaceuticals, is being sued for bilking senior citizens out of millions of dollars. Sally and Lori defend a man who killed a guy who beat him up for years ago with a martial arts punch


Season 1, Episode 6: Truth Be Told

Alan represents the husband, who is running for mayor, of his old crush Samantha, when a false rumor is publicized. Denny awaits the results of the test which will reveal whether he has the Alzheimer Disease or not, while Lori helps a lawyer convincing his wife to give him his suns frozen umbilical cord, which would save his life. Meanwhile Denny takes Sally's client who is suing a toaster company for his faulty product.


Season 1, Episode 7: Questionable Characters

Lori helps a former informant, who was shot while robbing a convenience store, not to have the bullet removed which connects him to the crime. Meanwhile, Alan tries to help his client who is accused of being a slumlord and is forced to do despicable acts from an infuriating judge. Denny gets arrested for solicitation.

Alan takes over a case Denny rejected for personal reasons. He has to defend a man who was fired from being Santa because he is a transvestite. Brad an Alan bet on the outcome of the case. Lori's therapist is worried that one of his patients may kill someone and asks for legal help.

Alan and Denny defend a drug company who is sued by a woman for taking her off an experimental pill which could have healed her sickness. Tara gets new information which would probably help her an Lori to win their case, but the way she retrieved it could cost them their case and careers.

Lori and Brad defend a woman who is accused of killing her husband and his mistress. Alan's life becomes in danger when he helps a woman whose ex-husband plans to kidnap their children.


Season 1, Episode 11: Schmidt Happens

The named partner Shirley Schmidt arrives to bring order to the firm. While making herself known, she deals with Denny who does not want her there. Lori and Paul represent a Sudanese native who is suing the U.S. government for not taking action against the mayhem that is happening in his country. Alan defends Bernard who killed his mother.

Lori, Denny and Shirley defend a school superintendent who fired two science teachers because they refused to teach creationism. Alan learns his assistant has expressed concern about their work relationship, needs legal his help again. One member of the firm is fired.

Denny and Shirley help a man whose steakhouse is put out of business, because the public wants to ban red meat for fear of Mad Cow disease. While Denny becomes convinced he has Mad Cow disease, Alan is arrested for conspiracy to commit assault and battery. He started a bar brawl while being out with Tara.


Season 1, Episode 15: Tortured Souls

Shirley asks Alan to defend a policeman who tortured a man to retrieve information. Denny and Chelina represent a woman who is suing her former boyfriend for leaving her at the altar. Bernard is befriended by Catherine and Alan finds variance with that.


Season 1, Episode 16: Let Sales Ring
Original Air Date: 13 March 2005
Milton Bombay needs Denny and Shirley to help him being frozen so he can continue his legacy as a great lawyer in the future. Alan and Chelina help a high school student who accuses his teacher of censorship when he blocks out a news station on the school's television.


Season 1, Episode 17: Death Be Not Proud
Original Air Date: 20 March 2005
Alan assist Chelina in Texas, where a former client is getting executed while he is maybe innocent. Denny and Shirley represent an old friend of theirs when she is charged with having sexual encounters for a fee. Lori files a complaint about Denny.

Denny takes Alan fishing to Nimmo Bay to help him get over his breakup with Tara. Sara and Garrett target the lawyer of Denise's husband, a priest, to settle the divorce. Catherine Piper confesses that she murdered Bernhard.

Denny has to apologize to Lori or face a sexual harassment suit, while Alan takes Sara out on a date, where he behaves strangely.


Season 2, Episode 6: Witches of Mass Destruction

Shirley help a Christian and a Wiccan couple, who want to stop the school's Halloween celebration. Alan represents Cassie suing the US military, because her brother died in the war. This of course is a hard test for Alan and Denny's friendship.


Season 2, Episode 7: Truly, Madly, Deeply

Denny does not want to defend a man who raped and killed a 13-year-old girl. He finds a way to get out of its, but ends up in jail. Alan has to overcome his fear of clowns, when he helps suing one. Shirley assigns a weird bestiality to Denise.


Season 2, Episode 8: Ass Fat Jungle

Denise defends the top Boston plastic surgeon, who is sued for injecting fat from his butt into his patients. Shirley has problems handling a case involving an Alzheimer's patient. Meanwhile Denny undergoes an MRI, while Alan has night terrors and asks his new secretary to guard him at night.


Season 2, Episode 9: Gone

Denny's using of firearms again becomes an issue to the firm, when a homeless man threw a rock at him. Denise and Brad try to find a kidnapped boy who is close to her heart. They have to become rather extreme when some obstacles appear.

Brad is on trial for his an Denise's action while trying to find a kidnapped boy. Denny and Shirley team up defending him. Alan meets Jerry Espenson, who is an expert in financial law, but has problems interacting with other people, while helping his secretary solving her problems with her credit card company.

Alan takes up the cause of one of the associates, Denny meets a woman, and Denise helps defend a client accused of buying his way onto a drug trial.

Daniel Post finagles his way onto one of Denise's cases, Alan takes up Jerry's cause with rather more enthusiasm than Shirley would like, and Denny gets serious about his new love.

Denis and Alan represent a young girl, whose father killed her mother after finding her whereabouts on her HMO's website. Alan also has to defend Catherine Piper, who started robbing convenience stores. Beverly Bridge, Denny's fiancé, who he met at a charity event, is causing trouble in the firm, while Paul, Shirley and Brad try to manage the situation. Daniel Post goes in for chemotherapy, and attempts to shut out Denise.


Season 2, Episode 14: Breast in Show

Alan dates Irma and later finds himself defending her, because she is charged with a sex crime for protesting topless. Daniel Post invites Denise to his funeral party, Garrett has problems to get Catherine out of his office and the rest of the firm is still dealing with Denny's fiancé.

Season 4, Episode 1: Beauty and the Beast

Carl Sack is brought in from the New York branch to act as office "enforcer." Shirley is sued by Stanford University after she backs out of a donation. And a new lawyer, fresh out of law school, is assigned an unwinnable murder case.

Season 4, Episode 2: The Innocent Man

Against all odds, new lawyer Katie Loyd and Jerry win their unwinnable murder trial. Alan is impressed by their victory. Shirley invites Lorraine to join the firm as a new associate. Denny lusts after the new associate and immediately invites her to sleep with him! Alan warns Denny to stay away from Lorraine and then has sex with her in the office!! Alan declines Judge Gloria Weldon's offer to have a child with her and they break up. Denny speculates with Alan about the nature of the relationship between Shirley and new boss Carl Sack.
